Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of EEOC Info. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Last updated May 19, 2026.

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EEOC Info website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to enter into contracts on behalf of your organization. You represent that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Payment processing

Payments for the Service are processed by Stripe, which handles checkout, subscription billing, invoicing, and applicable tax collection on our behalf. Card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Your use of Stripe's checkout is also subject to Stripe's terms.

3. Subscriptions and payments

The Service offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout) until cancelled. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for all fees incurred.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal, and you will retain access until the end of your current paid period. Upgrades are prorated based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle.

All fees are exclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or other transaction taxes are calculated and collected at checkout where required by law.

4. License and restrictions

Subject to these Terms and your active subscription, EEOC Info grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service.
  • Circumvent any technical limits, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without authorization.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to generate illegal content.

5. Intellectual property

EEOC Info retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including all software, content, documentation, branding, and underlying technology. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service or its intellectual property.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as screener responses or notes). By submitting content, you grant EEOC Info a limited license to host and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. Acceptable use and prohibitions

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Using the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
  • Transmitting spam, malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Interfering with the security, integrity, or performance of the Service.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Using the AI screener to generate illegal, hateful, or discriminatory content.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7. Termination and suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for: material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. We will provide notice where practicable.

You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

8. Disclaimers and limitations

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

EEOC Info is an informational tool only. It does not provide legal advice, and using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Always consult a qualified attorney for legal matters.

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including lost profits, data loss, or goodwill), except where prohibited by law (e.g., fraud, death, or personal injury).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EEOC Info and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
